I just want to say a big thank you for persuading me (even when on holiday!) to have the eye surgery & referring me to James Ball!

It's now a week after my second eye being done and even after the first  eye I found it surreal to be able to see  when I woke up on a morning!!  As the song goes, "I can see clearly now" for the first time in my life & apart from my heart surgery it's been the best thing I have done in my life thanks to your encouragement!

James is charming with a very caring manner & voice and the actual surgery was unbelievably comfortable - never felt a thing!!!!

I can't thank you enough for your encouragement and your call from America which was above and beyond the call of duty!!! I still feel bad about my email not knowing you were away - most would have ignored it but not you!!!

The different contact lens you sent me [to try] last week are great! Thank you.

On visiting the opticians - Christopher Nixon's of Starbeck - I always enjoy a warm welcome followed by the comforting feeling that my sight is in good hands with the best of care and the most up-to-date testing equipment.

I have been a patient of the practice for over 15 years… your practice must be THE best equipped optometrists for many miles around. I wonder sometimes if Harrogate Hospital has such a comprehensive range of such high quality diagnostic, photographic and prescription measuring instruments.…. I feel strongly that I am at the receiving end of excellent service operated by talented and personable people in an environment ideally suited to its purpose.

Chris, Thank you so much for seeing me last Friday and explaining all about Glaucoma. I really appreciated your help in talking me through it. It has really helped me to come to terms with the condition….thank you once again for your invaluable advice; it is much appreciated.
